Walid Mattar is a Tunisian director. After graduate studies in industrial engineering and a first managerial job in an electrical wiring company, Walid Mattar turned to cinema. He first worked as a director of photography on short films. Director from 2003, he signed his first feature film in 2017, Vent du nord, a film awarded the same year with the Golden Tanit (best first feature film) at the Carthage Cinematographic Days.
