Biography

She studied at the School of Arts and Cinema in Tunis. During this training, she directed several short films, one of which, La Brèche, is noticed. In 2003, she also participated in a feature film writing workshop funded by Euromed. In 2004, she continued her training at La Femis, first as part of the summer school and then in 2004-2005. Then she directed several feature films, distinguished in the list of some festivals, at the same time that she resumed studies, in 2007-2008, at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle University. The first of these three feature films is Le Challat de Tunis, released in 2014,. In 2017, his feature film La Belle et la Meute was selected in the category Un Certain Regard at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. In 2018, the same film was selected by the National Center for Cinema and Photography to represent Tunisia during Oscars 2019 in the category of best foreign film.
