Tunisian national, geographer (social geography), research professor at Paris 8 University in Saint-Denis (France) and director. These fields of research are quite diverse: Competitions in agricultural and rural natural resources, poverty and marginality, social changes and movements, environment, development, climate change, food sovereignty ... His areas of research mainly cover Tunisia and Egypt. Habib Ayeb has worked in several organizations and academic institutions including Paris 8 University in Saint Denis, the American University in Cairo, IRD and CEDEJ (Center for Legal and Social Studies and Documentation - Cairo). He is also the founder and president of the Tunisian association Observatory of Food Sovereignty and the Environment (OSAE)
