Biography

Melek Majdoub, a Tunisian director, graduated as a Computer Science and Telecommunication engineer from the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Communication Technologies (ISITCOM). His passion for storytelling ignited his interest in filmmaking from a young age. Alongside his directorial pursuits, Melek serves as the Vice President of the Ciné Club Sousse within the FTCC. Despite his youth, Melek's films have already captivated audiences and garnered acclaim, including notable works such as "Cain" (2019), "Saïr" (2022), and "The Bus" (2023). Melek has received recognition for his contributions to cinema, with several of his films earning accolades and selections at both national and international festivals. He has been honored with the Jury Prize at the International Film Festival for Women and Children in Mascate, Oman, the Best Audience Film award at the Human Screen Festival in Tunisia, the Best International Film prize at FIVS in Tunisia, and the Best Sound Design award at the Emirates Film Festival in the UAE.
