Salem and Halima have no news of their son who has left illegally for Italy. They live in agonies. The film is set in southeast Tunisia, Ahmed sells smuggled diesel oil on the road to Libya. One day, he decides to be smuggled overseas to Italy. For months there has been no word from him. Conflicting stories circulate concerning the fate of their only son. Through their story, we follow the itineraries of precarious youth, parents who struggle in silence for the sake of their family, and the fate of acutely marginalized region. Is their son found? Is he alive or dead?
