Born in Cairo. Lives and works in Tunis. After studying design and audiovisual Arts, Alaeddin Aboutaleb turned to animation. But he's not only interested in drawn animation, but he also uses video for short reviews of his life, his encounters and histravels, as hisseries Cut shows. Animation, however, has aesthetic flexibility, absence of plastic limits and narrative, an art directly connected to the imaginary where one can play on a par with realism, fantasy and dreamlike. Alaeddin Aboutaleb summon these genres, which he likes equals, without hierarchy, in multiple cartoons, most often short, built like fables or metaphors.
