He was a Tunisian actor born on September 8, 1931, in Tunis (in the Bab Souika district) and passed away on April 9, 2007. He began his artistic career in theater with Hamadi Jaziri and Hammouda Maâli, then gradually became one of the stars of Tunisian radio during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. His fame grew further after the establishment of Tunisian television in 1966. Some of the TV shows he participated in include Possibilities, Halima, Love Letter, Arousia's Dream, Waves, and Accounts and Consequences. He also appeared in films such as Autumn 86 by Rachid Ferchiu, The Wanderers by Nacer Khemir, and Redeyef 52 by Ali Abidi. He received several awards, including the Best Actor Award at the Cairo Radio and Television Festival for the series Warda. In 2003, he was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit during Tunisia's celebration of Culture Day.
