A Syrian actor and director, born in Latakia, Syria, on September 5, 1938. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Cairo in 1962. He directed numerous theater productions, among the most famous: The Brothers Karamazov (1964), The Stranger (1970), An Evening with Abu Khalil Al-Qabbani (1975), The Minister’s Wife (1981), and others. He also starred in many TV series, including: Al-Fahd (1972), A Knight from the South (1979), Houses in Mecca (1983), Migration of Hearts to Hearts (1990), Al-Jawarih (1995), Al-Tariq (2004), and Nizar Qabbani (2005).
