Slaheddine Essid, born on March 24, 1948, and passed away on June 29, 2020, in Gammarth, was a Tunisian director. Known for his successful dramas, he later specialized in sitcoms, contributing to some of Tunisia's most popular television series of the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s, especially those aired during the month of Ramadan. Among his works are Choufli Hal, El Khottab ala Bab, Mnamet Aroussia, Qamrat Sidi Marhous, Nsibti Laaziza, and Dar Louzir.
