Heifel Ben Youssef is a director, scriptwriter, photojournalist and producer. He began his career in television as a scriptwriter for several series "Hajar Land" and "Icha Fann"... as well as a writer-designer for several communication agencies. His photos have been exhibited several times in Tunis and Paris, while he worked as a photo reporter for Jeune Afrique . In 2017 he founded the Maghreb Film Festival in Montreal where he served as artistic director for two editions in a row. To his credit, two feature documentaries, "Access Denied" which won the special mention of the Jury at the JCC (2022) and "Your son is a man" having won the FIGOG silver award (2017), four short fiction films and four short documentaries for the benefit of civil society. Currently, he is developing his first feature film of fiction.
