After three years in teaching, Mohamed Grayaâ joined the Kef Center for Dramatic Arts in 1996. A theater and film actor, he landed his first role in 1999 in the play Dancing on Embers. In 2002, Mohamed Grayaâ became known to the general public by playing the lead role in Khorma by Jilani Saadi, where he portrayed a simple-minded character who becomes a social phenomenon. In 2007, he ventured into directing with The Child King, a film that combines shadow puppetry and computer graphics. The film won the Audience Award for Best Tunisian Short Film at the Carthage European Film Days in 2008.
