Born in 1984 in Tunis. Lives and works between Tunis and Paris. In 2010, Youssef Chebbi directed his first short film, Vers le Nord, a film noir against the backdrop of illegal immigration. His interest in societal subjects can be found in Babylon, a documentary he co-directed two years later with Ismaël and Ala Eddine Slim, which deals with the construction and life of a refugee camp on the border between Tunisia and Libya.
