Biography

He holds a master’s degree in psychology. He was a member of the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers (FTCA – Sousse Club) and is currently an active member of the committee of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth of Sousse (FIFEJ). In 2003, he directed Inhibition, produced by FTCA, which won the Bronze Medal in the international competition at the Kélibia Festival 2003, the Bronze Medal at the International Festival in Estonia, and the Bronze Medal from the International Union of Non-Professional Filmmakers (UNICA/Germany 2004). In 2004, he directed Taalila, produced by FTCA, which won 3rd Prize at the National Festival of Kélibia 2004, the Federico Fellini Prize (UNESCO 2005), and the Bronze Medal from the International Union of Non-Professional Filmmakers (UNICA/Belgium 2005). In 2005, he directed La Saveur du silence (FTCA), and in 2006 he directed Trois regards une journée (FTCA), which won the Bronze Medal at the Kélibia Festival 2006 and the Special Habib Masrouki Prize for Best Cinematography. In 2007, he directed Hammam Sousse, un demi siècle d’histoire. Ève à mes yeux is his first professional film.
