Maher Hasnaoui is a Tunisian film director, born in 1990 in Tunisia. He graduated from the Institut supérieur des arts et du multimédia de la Manouba’ in production and directing assistance. He has been working in the film industry since 2015 as an assistant to several directors. His graduation film ‘KHALÄA’ was recognized in film festivals, with a world premiere at Inter Film Berlin 2016. He was a member of the Arcacinemagiovani jury at the 71st Venice Film Festival. His latest short documentary, released in 2021,entitled ‘Touristes hors Saison...’ which focuses on the difficulties faced by sub-Saharan Africans in Tunisia. He has currently been selected for the official short documentary competition at the JCC.
