Fares Naanaa was born in Tunis in 1975. After high school, motivated by his passion for cinema, Farès Naanaa joined the Maghreb Cinema Institute "IMC" in Tunis, where he obtained his director's diploma in 1996. Since 1997, he has been working various functions as assistant director, producer, executive producer and actor in several short films and television series. As a film director, Farès Naanaa has three short films to his credit: “Casting for a wedding” in 2004, “Who killed Prince Charming?” in 2005 and “Coup de cœur” in 2007. “Les Frontières du ciel”, his first feature film, produced by CINETELEFILMS, had its world premiere in official competition at the Carthage Cinematographic Days in 2015 and is competing for “the Muhr ”for best Arab film in the international competition of the Dubai Film Festival 2015.
