Born October 25, 1982 in Paris (France), trained at the École Supérieure de Réalisation audiovisuelle (ESRA) in Paris, Ismahane Lahmar directed the short film "On your grave" in 2008 in New York where she obtained her master's degree in audiovisual production. She wrote the screenplay for the feature film "Al Yasmine" (supported by the Dubai Film Connection workshop. Ismahane directed the short films "RAINBOW" and "Anything" in 2013 and 2014, presented in July 2014 at the Cycle "Rares & Tunisiens" and in other international festivals. Ismahane now lives in Tunisia where she wrote and directed "Woh" a 100% Tunisian comedy financed by the Tunisian public. She attends various international writing workshops such that Rawi, Sud Writing or Med Film Factory or its feature film projects “J'irai au Diable” and “une famille Respectable” are supported. In 2019 ismahane opens her production company “Madame Prod” in which she develops and supports women's projects and gender cinema.
