Biography

After completing higher studies in commerce at IHEC Carthage, Badi Chouka began his career in 2002 as a production coordinator on the TV fiction Dima Labess for Canal 21. From 2003 to 2010, he worked as an assistant director, editor, and production manager on several advertising campaigns for Tunisian, Algerian, Libyan, and French brands. He also worked on the short film Le Poisson noyé (assistant director) and on the documentary film VHS-Kahloucha by Nejib Belkadhi (assistant director/editor), as well as on the short film Pourquoi moi ? by Amine Chiboub, for which he won the Best Editing Award at the Tunisian Film Festival in Paris. In 2012, Badi served as production manager and editor for the feature film Bastardo by Nejib Belkadhi, which won prestigious awards worldwide. In 2013, he directed his first short fiction film, Boubarnous, which was presented at the Inconnu Festival in France and the Arab Film Festival in Berlin.
