Biography

Tunisian film and television producer, Habib ATTIA has been the manager since 2007 of CINETELEFILMS, one of the most active production companies in Tunisia and its region, since its creation in 1983. Habib ATTIA produces several creative documentaries and fiction films, like "WE COULD BE HEROES" (2018, Hind Bensari) which won the grand prize at HOTDOCS, "LA BELLE ET LA MEUTE" (2017, Kaouther Ben Hania) which began a brilliant international career in Official Competition at Cannes in the category UN CERTAIN REGARD where he obtained the Prize for best sound creation, he subsequently won the prize for best film (Student jury) at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival and toured several internationally renowned festivals such as BFI London, Busan, Namur, Dubai, Melbourne… "ZAINEB N'AIME PAS LA NEIGE" (2016, Kaouther Ben Hania) which made its world premiere at the prestigious Locarno festival, won the Tanit d'or at the Ci Days nematographic films of Carthage and the prize for best documentary at Cinemed Montpellier and participates in many important festivals such as IDFA and Dubai… "LE CHALLAT DE TUNIS" (2014, by Kaouther Ben Hania), which opens the ACID section at the Cannes festival and won several awards, including the award for best first film at the Namur festival, for best director and best film in Beirut, it was selected in Dubai, San Sebastian and Busan and theatrically distributed in more than 15 countries; “PALESTINE STEREO” (2013, by Rashid Masharawi) selected in Toronto, Dubai and Chicago; "C’ETAIT MIEUX DEMAIN" (2012, Hinde Boujemaa), unveiled in the official selection at the Venice Film Festival, he won several awards including that of best Arab director in Dubai, he is also shown in Stockholm and Namur. In 2011 Habib ATTIA produced "MORE NEVER FEAR" by Mourad Ben Cheikh who began a brilliant international career in the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival and subsequently in Busan, Taormina, Sheffield, Dubai…
