His career was launched by Man of Ashes, selected in Cannes, Namur and and at several festivals, it was also crowned by the Golden Tanit at the Carthage FF in 1986. In 1989, Golden Clogs confirmed Bouzid's talent. In 1993, he presented Bezness directors at the Directors' Fortnight. Bent Familia was also selected in Namur in 1997. In addition to his activity as a director, Nouri Bouzid has contributed to the writing of many Tunisian film hits such as Child of the Terraces, Season of Men, Les Silences du Palais... In 1994, he participated in the founding of a film school, the EDAC, where he has been teaching since. The Scarecrows is his eight film, presented in world premiere at the Venice Mostra.
